We are a group of volunteers who strive to meet our vision to create and live in a community which fosters compassion through action, to alleviate the financial burden on seriously ill individuals in our community
Joanne Kleisinger – New President
Joanne works at PNGI with Kristie. Relatively new to Terrace, Joanne was looking for an opportunity to support the community and get to know new people.
Rick McDaniel – Past President
Rick is a long-time resident of Terrace with an extensive history in Terrace’s business community and forestry sector; currently working full time as a realtor at RE/MAX Coast Mountains.
As a huge community supporter, Rick currently holds several volunteer positions with local organizations: Chair for 16/37 Community Futures, Director at Northwest Business Development Corporation, Treasurer for Centennial Christian School and a Canadian Ranger.
Aside from several current volunteer positions Rick is also a member of the Kinsmen Club and was previously President with the local branch. He was also President for Shames Mountain Ski Club and a founding member and past Chair for the Terrace Athletic Commission. He has coached ringette and soccer and remains a strong support of youth sports.

Kristi Ebeling – Executive Director
Kristie joined the board when the opportunity came up for an Executive Director. Kim was a personal friend of Kristie’s and it excited her to be a part of the legacy and the charity. Kristie owns the Provincial Networking Group, specializing in working with and connecting adults with diverse abilities.
Alyssa Bjorgaard – Treasurer
Alyssa was born and raised in Terrace. She moved to Kamloops in 2013 where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2020 from Thompson Rivers University.
After receiving her degree, she moved back home to be close to her family. She is a working professional with MNP accounting firm.
Alyssa is excited to use her skills obtained throughout her education to give to the community she was born and raised.
Alyssa is an ambitious, young dedicated professional and Kimmunity Angels is grateful to have someone of her caliber lead the financial aspect of the Society.
Denise Gagnon – Director/Secretary
Former Executive Director Denise still holds and Director and Secretary role within Kimmunity Angels Society. Having a background in Health and Wellness, Denise felt supporting this organization perfectly aligns with her chosen career path and allows her to support her community, something she is also passionate about.
Ambur Hall – Director
Ambur was a friend of Kim’s and saw the need for such an important charity. After volunteering for several years, Ambur officially joined the board as a Director.
Parrish Miller – Director
Parrish chose to be a part of the Kimmunity Angels because Kim Kaye was a friend of mine, and when my daughter got sick and had to be flown to Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, the Kimmunity Angels reached out to help me and my daughter during those troubled times. I know firsthand how families struggle when it comes to medical expenses and I just want to be part of an organization that helps people.
Robin Woodman – Director
Donna Slavik – Founder
Donna was born in beautiful Nova Scotia and considers herself lucky to have also lived in Quebec, Alberta and BC. In 1985 she came to Terrace and stayed, except for a brief period when she lived in Chilliwack and Prince Rupert.
After raising her children, obtaining a meaningful career became her focus, which led her to a regional management position with Kopar Administration Ltd. In 2007 she transitioned from Kopar Administration to the Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation ( say that fast 3 times ) and currently works as an Adjudicator for the Health Assistance Branch, which she thoroughly enjoys.
Giving connects us to others, creates strong communities which in turn helps build a stronger society. As the President of Kimmunity Angels Society, Donna looks forward to giving and connecting with her community to promote a happy and healthy society.
